Group Activity Volunteer (Unpaid)

Location: Colchester City Centre Quaker Meeting House
Day: Wednesdays afternoons 
Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours per week
Role Type: Voluntary (unpaid)

About the Role

We are looking for friendly, committed volunteers to help run a weekly friendship group in Colchester City Centre.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, support older adults, and help create a warm, welcoming space where friendships can grow. Your time and enthusiasm will make a real difference in reducing loneliness and strengthening community connections.

What You’ll Do

• Help set up and close down

• Welcome attendees and encourage participation

• Support group activities and conversations

• Help create a friendly, inclusive environment

What You’ll Need

• A friendly, reliable, and compassionate approach

• Willingness to provide two character references

• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
